The following screenshot shows an example of the configuration
program Boot-US. The Windows program Boot-US executes directy under
any 32 and 64 bit Windows versions. This program is used to install and uninstall the boot manager.
Additionally it allows to view all details of all partitions and to
edit some parts of them.
After the start of Boot-US a list of all hard disks with all disk parameters
and partitions is displayed.
The actual order of the boot disks can be specified and disturbing disks can be skipped.
Additionally the detailed disk model and serial number is displayed.
Example: Installation dialog
The partitions are selected by a simple mouse click. You can freely configure the name of the partition
and the description for the partition. Both settings are displayed in the boot manager (see below).
The installation and uninstallation of the boot manager is directly done in
the Windows program Boot-US from the menu command Boot manager.
For example the menu command Boot manager / Install...
opens a dialog for selecting the partitions in the boot manager.
In this dialog all bootable partitions on all disks are displayed.
The following screenshot shows the command-line version of Boot-US. Starting with version 1.7.0
the command-line and GUI versions do have identical functions.
Especially the command-line version allows now a batch installation of the boot manager.
Example: Report about partitions
The report function is by intention not protected by any license check. This function may be used in the DOS and WIN32
command-line version for free.
The report function displays the properties of all partitions on all disks, see following screenshot:
The following screenshot shows an example of the boot manager
as it appears immediately after starting the computer.
In the this case Windows 7 and 10 are installed on the first and second hard disk
and can be booted from there. Linux is installed on the second disk and
can be booted from the second disk. Additionally booting from the
diskette A: is also available.
By pressing the F10 key a second window opens, which allows to unhide
all partitions on all hard disks. Configuration problems regarding the
hiding of partitions can be repaired easily by this command.
